On September 17-18, 2010, the “Conference on Family Change in the Wake of Demographic Transition” was held in Beijing and hosted by the Institution of Population and Labour Economics, CASS. The conference emphasized on topics of family change, family structure, generation relations and decisions on economy, marriage and family, fertility behavior relating to population and family, family and aging society, family related policies and other relevant problems. Over 80 scholars, experts and researchers from CASS, government bureau, research institutes and universities, and other countries, such as, UK, US, Singapore, Spain and Canada attended the conference and participated in discussion of above topics.
