2019-03-20 10:50:10
The purpose of this project is to evaluate the internal challenges to China and India and to encourage the communication and study of sustainable development path of these two countries. The divergence of institutions and policy intentions between China and India provides rich data for this research. The project will estimate the similarities of challenges to the two countries, the problems of creating employment, decreasing poverty and developing social security in the background of neo-liberalism and fast economic growth, and solutions under different national environment. The choices and strategies of China and India will be mutually dependable, for the consideration of their overall status. The project will not only increase opportunities for cooperation, learning and experience sharing, but also feedback and contribute to policing analysis, dialogue and regulation making of various members (especially GIDR, CASS, IDS, Sussex and WIEGO), based on research data and results. On the end of the project, we will establish a “Common Policy Dialogue Group” and invite the project members, relevant policy makers and statistics offices to join in this group.
